R2-D2 Edition of the DROID 2 Hitting Verizon On August 12th?

Engadget is hearing that the Motorola DROID 2 may actually be hitting Verizon stores a bit earlier than expected... but there's a catch. Apparently, a special edition of the DROID 2 will be available starting on August 12th and it'll be specifically for nerds. The soft launch on the 12th is a special edition that will feature a white R2-D2 on the back, yes, a Star Wars Edition. This is unconfirmed right now, but it's coming from Engadget so it's not exactly far fetched.
