Virgin Mobile looks like they will be getting a Samsung Galaxy smartphone but it's not the Galaxy S (at least not right now). According to the image you see above they'll actually be getting the mid-end
Galaxy 5 (i5500). This smartphone features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 600MHz CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 2MP camera, WiFi / GPS, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.1 (upgradeable to 2.2 in the future).
The release date is unknown right now but it'll be available for free on their SuperTab (3-year) contract.
Update: According to
Unwired View, this handset will be hitting the carrier on November 12th.
