Acer is dead serious about the smartphone space and this definitely shows it. It's being called the Acer Liquid Metal so I assume that's what it's made of. Specs include a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, Bluetooth 3.0 support, an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230-1 CPU, a camera with a flash (megapixels unknown), and Android 2.2 "Froyo" with the company's own custom UI. This is definitely looking like it could be a great smartphone (besides how thick it is). Pricing and release details are still unknown.
Update: Electronista has mentioned that Acer confirmed that this is a real smartphone. This will be launching sometime in October - the price hasn't been mentioned yet.
