Could the January 27th Apple Event Be When the Verizon iPhone Finally Gets Announced?

Could it be true? Could Apple's event on January 27th be the announcement of the Verizon iPhone? It's still a rumour right now, and the event is less than a week away which is where the rumours pile up every single day. This would be great news for those who don't want to be on AT&T's shoddy network. I assume that if Verizon announces that they're getting the iPhone, this would be the 4th-generation model and not the current 3G / 3GS models. But, you never know what's going to happen - it may not even happen at all, although it should.
