Asus Unveils Eee PC 1005P / PE Netbooks With "Pine Trail" Atom

ft's not even CES 2010 yet and Asus has already felt the need to unveil some new netbooks. These netbooks will have Intel's new "Pine Trail" line-up of Atoms and they'll also feature carbon fiber and a chiclet keyboard. In case you're interested, this is the Asus Eee PC 1005P / PE netbook. ASUS Eee PC 1005P Specs:

• 10” 1024 x 600 display
• Atom N450 processor
• 1GB DDR2 RAM
• 160GB HDD
• VGA out, microphone, headphone jacks, 3x USB 2.0, Card reader
• 0.3MP webcam
• 10/100 LAN, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi
• Windows 7 Starter
• 6-cell Li-ion battery (probably smaller than the PE model)

The higher end 1005PE sports a larger hard drive, larger capacity 12.5 hour 6-cell battery and glossy display.

• Atom N450 processor
• Intel GMA 3150 graphics
• 1GB DDR2 RAM
• 250GB HDD

• Windows 7 Starter
• 6-cell Li-ion battery (12.5 hour battery)
