According to the latest news, Apple is starting to ship iPhone 3GS' that actually can't be jailbroken. The new botroom, iBoot-359.3.2, is apparently immune to being jailbroken since it protects against the 24kpwn exploit that everyone uses. If you're one of those imafamous jailbreakers, this one will be your next challenge.
