Sprint has just bought
Virgin Mobile for $483 million. I don't really know what Sprint could do with Virgin Mobile, but it looks like they will be launching the low-end phones for Sprint, so nothing will change. Sprint also purchased Boost Mobile a while back, so
Engadget suggests that Sprint will probably pair up both Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile. Either way, it's an acquisition - even if it won't mean much.
