We heard about the Acer Aspire 8935 (above) way back in April and Acer is already looking to replace that model. That's where the Aspire 8942 will step in with its ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 graphics and Core i7 CPU options. This 18.4-inch notebook (with a 1080p resolution of course) will also include DirectX support, up to 8GB of RAM, dual 640GB HDDs, a Blu-ray drive, HDMI out, and a 5.1-channel audio system. This notebook will be officially unveiled in January 2010 and will launch for an undisclosed price shortly after.
