MTS To Release the Google Nexus S In a Few Weeks

MTS is kind of slow to the party but it looks like they're almost ready to release the Google Nexus S. The smartphone is said to be launching in a few weeks but the price is unknown right now. With the new wave of Android smartphones - and the next iPhone - on the way, it might be a tough sell unless it's inexpensive.

Nokia X2 On Its Way To Fido In Canada

Fido looks like they're set to release another Nokia device. Mobile Syrup has mentioned that the Nokia X2 is headed to the carrier in the future. This handset is said to pack a 2.4-inch display, a 2MP camera, a QWERTY keyboard, and the Symbian OS. It could be launching next week for around $100 contract-free so it's a cheap one.

Verizon's Samsung Illusion Leaks On Flickr

On their own Flickr account, Samsung posted a photo of what you see above. It's said to be the Illusion which looks like it'll be hitting Verizon in the US soon. Specs are still unconfirmed right now but it should be a mid-end handset. The price is also unknown but it shouldn't be expensive. Not much is known about it right now but hopefully we hear more about it soon.

If you've been waiting around for the Samsung Galaxy S II in the US then Sprint is the first carrier to release it. They've branded it as the Samsung Epic 4G Touch and it's available for $199.99 on a 2-year contract. This dual-core Android smartphone packs one of the best spec sheets out there right now and it features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED+ WVGA display along with 4G (WiMAX) connectivity. T-Mobile USA To Launch the LG-Made myTouch Q?

By now we're used to HTC making T-Mobile USA's myTouch-branded smartphones but it looks like the carrier is looking to another company to keep the brand alive. Apparently, the next model in that line-up will be the myTouch Q which could possibly be made by LG. Sadly, AndroidGuys has mentioned that the specs for this one could be mid-end since it's said to pack a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera, an 800MHz CPU, and Android "Gingerbread". Thankfully, the carrier could be set to launch two models of this smartphone - one with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and one without.

Best Buy Taking Pre-Orders For the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9

If you've been waiting around for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 then you can now pre-order it in the US on Best Buy. The tablet packs an 8.9-inch display along with Android "Honeycomb" and the Tegra 2 CPU. It's also quite thin and light so it should be easy enough for anyone to carry around. Huawei U8520 Hits the FCC, Android Phone With Dual-SIM Slot

Yet another Android phone from Huawei has been spotted at the FCC. This time it's the U8520 which is going to be sporting a dual-SIM card slot which is pretty sweet. Specs for this one are said to be an HVGA display, WiFi / GPS support, a 3MP camera, a 1GHz CPU, and Android "Froyo". We don't know where this will launch right now but this model is capable of running on a bunch of North American carriers so it has a shot of landing here. Check it out at the FCC.
