Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play Headed To AT&T With HSPA+

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play that has been available in North America for a while now looks like it's headed to another carrier. AT&T in the US has just announced that they'll be launching this one with HSPA+ connectivity and a new blue option. The smartphone will still be exactly how you remembered it so you'll be able to exclusively play new Android games, since this is a PlayStation-certified smartphone. The price is still unknown right now.

Microsoft Teases a Windows 8 Tablet, Unknown Specs and Release Date

Microsoft may have showed off a bunch of Windows Phone 7 smartphones today but that's not all they teased. What you see above is the first look of a tablet running on Microsoft's upcoming OS, Windows 8. Not much is known about the tablet right now but I'm sure we'll see more about it in the coming months.

Microsoft Shows Off WP7 "Mango" Devices, Samsung Model Has a Front-Facing Camera

Looks like Microsoft was showing off a few upcoming Windows Phone 7 "Mango" devices at their Worldwide Partner Conference today. They showed off four smartphones coming from Acer, Fujitsu, ZTE, and Samsung. The Samsung model was the most interesting of the bunch since it looks a whole lot like the Galaxy S II. It also confirms that "Mango" will have video chatting (possibly via Skype) since the handset above features a front-facing camera.

Samsung SGH-T379 Triumph Hits the FCC

It looks like one of T-Mobile USA's upcoming phones have just been spotted at the FCC. It's the SGH-T379 which should be hitting the carrier as the Samsung Triumph - unless they decide to go with something else. This one isn't a high-end phone so don't get too excited. It should have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth support, and a 2MP camera. Check it out at the FCC.

The Google Nexus S has been available for a while in Canada but if you're looking for a white (just the back) model then you can head over to Telus. HP Touchpad 4G Hitting AT&T With HSPA+ and 1.5GHz CPU

The HP Touchpad has only been available for a few days and the company has already announced that a new model is already on the way. The HP Touchpad 4G is on its way to AT&T this Summer and that's packing HSPA+ connectivity along with a faster 1.5GHz CPU. Looks like this one's on pace for an August release since they want to beat the "back to school" season.

Bell's Samsung Galaxy S II Will Be Available On July 21

It was rumoured to be launching this week but Bell Canada has cleared it up for us. The Samsung Galaxy S II 4G will officially be available starting on July 21st. The price was unannounced but it's expected to be $169.95 on a 3-year contract and $599.95 contract-free. It's quite a bit to pay for it but it's one of the best smartphones that have been announced thus far.
