Sony Ericsson XPERIA txt pro Hits the FCC With No 3G Support

Labels: , , , ,

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA txt pro was announced recently and it's already made a trip to the FCC. The handset (SK15a) is set out to be a cheap text messaging phone since the model at the FCC packs GSM 850 / 1900MHz connectivity which means you're stuck on 2G. Yes, there's no 3G support for this handset so you can expect this one to be extremely cheap. It's got a slide-out QWERTY keyboard so at least you'll be able to text your friends quickly. Check it out at the FCC.

Motorola XOOM With LTE Hits the FCC, Probably Not the XOOM 2

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Motorola looks like they could be testing their successor to the XOOM Android "Honeycomb" tablet. Another one of their tablets have hit the FCC and it's a bit bigger but also a bit slimmer than the original XOOM that's been out for a while. Rumour has it that this is the XOOM 2 but I doubt it. It could just be the XOOM with integrated LTE connectivity and that's what I'm betting on. If that's the case then we should be hearing about it soon. The XOOM has only been out for a few months and we're still a few months away from seeing a wave of Tegra 3 tablets storm the market so it can't be the successor. This one looks like it'll be a slight upgrade over the XOOM. Check it out at the FCC.
