Lenovo's 7-Inch "Honeycomb" Tablet Should Launch This Year

Labels: , , , , ,

It looks like Lenovo has another tablet that will be available late this year and This Is My Next has mentioned that it'll be a 7-inch Android "Honeycomb" powered tablet. Specs for this one include a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a dual-core ARM CPU, and a skin over top of the OS by Lenovo. The release date for this one could be as late as Q4 of this year so maybe it'll be better to hold off on those quad-core tablets.

Coming from DigiTimes is word that Acer will be using LG's new display, "Shuriken", in their latest ultraportable notebook. This new display will find a home in an Acer notebook which will sport a small 8mm bezel and a body of a 13.3-inch notebook but with a 14.1-inch display. I can't see this one being a cheap notebook but let's hope that it's a powerhouse with a lot of battery life. This notebook could be officially announced sometime next month so we'll just have to wait around for it.

First iPhone 4S / 5 Pictures Leak? Sports Larger Display

Labels: , , ,

Coming from M.I.C. Gadget is the picture you see above which is what they're calling the iPhone 4S and it's rumoured to be the first look at the next-generation iPhone from Apple. The display on this smartphone is said to be slightly larger than what we're used to seeing on the iPhone, a 3.7-inch display with a slightly thinner bezel. The phone should also house the A5 CPU that's in the iPad 2 and we have no clue if the speed will be increased since Samsung already has 1.2GHz dual-core CPUs in the pipe. This picture isn't confirmed so it's still a rumour right now.

10.1-Inch Lenovo ThinkPad "Honeycomb" Tablet Leaks, Sports IPS Display and Tegra 2

Labels: , , , ,

This Is My Next is a new website that has been started by former Engadget writers and they're still getting exclusive information regarding the tech world. Apparently, the picture you see above (which isn't final) is going to be Lenovo's Android "Honeycomb" based tablet - which could be skinned. According to the leak, the tablet will sport a 10.1-inch IPS multitouch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a Tegra 2 CPU, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of storage, dual cameras, a microUSB / miniHDMI / USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader, and a thick 14mm body that weighs 1.6 pounds.

Furthermore, this tablet could also sport optional dual-digitizer with "true pen support" with an optional keyboard case, reminiscent of the Asus' Transformer. Price is said to start at $499 but it looks like it'll be highly customizable - possibly even sporting a 1080p display. Seems pretty interesting but we'll see what happens over the next few weeks / months. This'll probably leak again before it gets officially announced.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Ultraportable Notebook Confirmed, Sports a Better Battery

Labels: , ,

It's true, it's true! The new ultraportable from Lenovo, the ThinkPad X1, has been confirmed to be a real product - announcement still pending. The pdf has leaked which tells us that the notebook will have a "slice" battery which won't be user-replaceable. Furthermore, the battery will reportedly last three times longer than a normal one and it'll recharge 2.5 times longer as well. Specs are still likely unchanged from what we heard so it'll be pretty darn powerful. Price and release date is still unknown for this one right now.
