Nokia C2-06 Prototype Leaks In India, Low-End Slider

Labels: , ,

It looks like a prototype of Nokia's upcoming C2-06 handset has just leaked out somewhere in India. The display is said to be sport a resistive touchscreen, so hopefully they change that to capacitive before they release it. Sadly, this one's a low-end slider with no WiFi or 3G support so it should be fairly cheap to get unlocked. However, it does have Bluetooth support but that's just about the only positives for this one. Price is unknown yet but it's running S40 6th Edition.

Next iPhone To Have 8MP Camera, Better Antenna, and Same CPU As iPad 2

Labels: , ,

Chalk this one up as a new rumour regarding Apple's next iPhone. Apple Insider is reporting that the next iPhone that gets introduced this year will have the same A5 CPU that you'll find in the iPad 2 meaning that the Galaxy S II will have the upper-hand if the software follows suit. Other rumoured specs are said to be an 8MP camera (likely from Sony), an improved antenna, and a Qualcomm chip that'll do GSM and CDMA just for good measure.

The design of the next iPhone is said to be the same as the iPhone 4 (think iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS), but we have heard rumours in the past of an aluminum back. Rumoured release is said to be September but we know that Apple rumours tend to get out of hand all the time. What to believe...?

If you believe what MobileJaw is hearing then Samsung Canada intends to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in "late Q3" so this could mean a September release. The good news here is that it'll reportedly be the new tablet that was recently announced by Samsung at CTIA. This means, this tablet will rival the iPad 2 and the XOOM in Canada with its ~8.6mm thin body.

Inside you can expect to find 16GB / 32GB (maybe 64GB) storage options, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, WiFi a/b/g/n / Bluetooth support, a 3.2MP rear-facing camera with 720p HD video recording, a front-facing 2MP camera, and Android "Honeycomb".
