Eco-Friendly Samsung Replenish Headed To Sprint, With Android?

Labels: , , , , ,

We heard about the Samsung Replenish a few days ago but it was rumoured to be a feature phone. New details have trickled in and this is now rumoured to be a "green" Android handset from the company running the Android OS. The press release is reportedly on April 15th with the launch set for May 5th. That's all we know for now but maybe there'll be a solar panel on it or something because it's going to have to "replenish" in some way.

16GB Motorola XOOM To Launch Soon?

Labels: , , , , ,

Right now, in North America you can get a 32GB WiFi-only Motorola XOOM for $599 but it looks like a new model is in the works. According to the image above, the company could be looking to ship a 16GB XOOM in the near future and it should be even cheaper than the current model - possibly $499. This is unconfirmed right now but it would be a pretty good idea to do so.

Finally, there'll be a tablet that'll undercut the price of Apple's iPad 2 and try to take some of the tablet market share. Acer has just announced that their Iconia Tab A500 tablet will be hitting Best Buy's across the US starting on April 24th for $449.99. The pre-sales will start on April 14th and keep in mind that this is a WiFi-only model so there's no contracts.

The tablet itself features a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, an HDMI port, a microSD card slot, 16GB of internal storage, dual cameras, "Honeycomb", a gyroscope, and a battery life of 8 hours. Apparently, a 32GB model is on the way but who knows how long we'll have to wait for that. If you're looking to pick up some accessories, the Bluetooth keyboard is $70, while the multi-media dock with an infrared remote will cost $80.
