Labels: , , ,

Sprint has just announced something that's pretty good for PTT and Android users. They have just mentioned that they'll be announcing a new "Gold Standard" CDMA push-to-talk Android phone in the near future. Furthermore, it looks like they have two of them in the pipe: one from Motorola and the other from Kyocera. Details are widely unknown right now but it'll be an Android phone with a QWERTY keyboard along with a touchscreen display. Sounds pretty good so far and it should be a mid-end handset.

Ealier rumours state that this handset will be hitting T-Mobile USA very soon as the Nokia Tiger. Not exactly an attractive name but it's fierce. The price is unknown right now but it should be more than free on a 2-year contract - although that price does sound good.

Labels: , , ,

The super-thin ultraportable notebook from Samsung, the Series 9, is now up for pre-orders on the company's own website. Unfortunately, it's priced at $1,649 which isn't cheap but this machine is packing much more horsepower than something like the MacBook Air from Apple. The Samsung Series 9 packs a 13.3-inch display, an Intel Core i5-2537M dual-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, and Windows 7. If you're interested then you can actually pre-order one on Samsung now.

Samsung Unveils Series 2, 4, and 6 Business Oriented Notebooks

Labels: ,

Samsung may have already kicked off pre-orders for the Series 9 ultraportable notebook but it looks like they have unveiled a few more notebooks as well. This includes the new Series 2, Series 4, and even Series 6 which is set for a business environment. First we'll start with the Series 2 which comes in 12.5 and 14-inch models. Beneath those displays you'll find up to 4GB of RAM and 320 of HDD storage. The smaller model only packs Intel Celeron CPUs but the larger one does pack a new Intel Core i3 CPU. The Series 2 will be available next month - April.

Moving along we have the Series 4 which is a bit higher-end than the Series 2 but comes in the same two display models. Now these ones have options for Intel "Sandy Bridge" Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPUs which is nice. This will also be available in April. Last, but not least, we have the Series 6 which comes in 14 and 15.6-inch models. These ones pack a 1,366 x 768 resolution SuperBright 300-nit display (upgradeable to 1,600 x 900), Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU options, Nvidia NVS 4200M GPU, a 1.3MP webcam, and "super-hard external casing" so it might be able to withstand a bit of a beating. Prices are unknown right now but this will be available in May.
