Telus Announces the Galaxy S Fascinate 4G and the Nexus S, They'll Be Here Soon

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Telus has just announced two smartphones that'll be hitting their network in the near future. They're the Galaxy S Fascinate 4G, which is expected to arrive in the next 30 to 60 days and the other one is the Nexus S. First off, the Galaxy S Fascinate 4G is probably very similar to the Galaxy S 4G that hit T-Mobile USA not too long ago. It features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, HSPA+ (4G) connectivity, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, a front-facing camera, and Android 2.2 with the Touchwiz UI. And this was just the first handset.

The other one is actually a bit better of a smartphone and it's the Nexus S. This one features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, NFC capabilities, a 5MP camera, a front-facing camera, Bluetooth / WiFi support, and stock Android "Gingerbread". However, with this one you're stuck with regular 3G speeds. Of course, this handset should hit a few different carriers in Canada. Price is unknown right now but it should be available in late March / early April.

HTC Files For EVO View 4G Trademark, WiMAX Flyer Tablet Looks Like It's On the Way

Labels: , , , , ,

We heard about this just a few days ago and it looks like Engadget's tipsters may have been correct - yet again. HTC has just filed a trademark for the EVO View 4G and it looks like this could be announced at CTIA for Sprint's 4G (WiMAX) network. This should be a tablet and could actually be just an HTC Flyer with WiMAX radios inside. It'll be running Android "Gingerbread" at launch but it should be getting "Honeycomb" via update, but who knows how long that'll actually take.

It took Nokia long enough; maybe they were going to cancel it but it already snuck through the FCC so they might as well release it. The company has just announced the Nokia X1-00. This music phone is one of the cheapest to hit the market and it'll be available for just €34 ($47 USD) unlocked. Of course, you don't get much for what you pay. It features a small display, a microSD card slot, an FM radio, and the S30 UI. It'll be available in orange, ocean blue, and dark grey.

Lenovo ThinkPad X220 and X220t Now Official, Available In April

Labels: , ,

Lenovo has just confirmed the notebooks that leaked earlier this morning. It's the ThinkPad X220 and it's now official! Specs are exactly what you'd expect in a 12.5-inch notebook; actually, not really. This notebook is packing quite the punch for a small notebook. This features Intel Core 2011 CPU options, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a few HDD / SSD options, USB 3.0 support, a 720p webcam, and up to 24 hours of battery life if you get the extended battery option. That's not all though.

The company has also unveiled the X220t which packs a touchscreen Gorilla Glass display. This convertible notebook will be decent for presentations but we all know that Windows 7 isn't made for the tablet form factor. Anyways, said notebooks are going to be available this April for $899 and $1,199, respectively.
