Another BlackBerry Roadmap Leaks, Involves New Handsets and Even OS 7.0

Labels: , , , ,

Coming from N4BB is a pretty darn good leak regarding RIM and the future of the BlackBerry. Before I talk about it you can take a look at it for yourself. It mentions that RIM looks like they'll be releasing the BlackBerry Dakota / Montana, Malibu, Apollo / Sedona, Monaco, and the Torch 2 this year. All of these - except for the Torch 2 - are actually codenames so they should all launch in their usual naming schemes (Bold, Curve, Storm). Furthermore, these should all launch with OS 6.1 and it looks like they're starting to work on getting OS 7.0 in the mix which should actually be running on their upcoming QNX-built OS. If you want to know more then just check out either of the two links.

Motorola DROID X 2 Possibly Hits FCC, Launch Could Be In August

Labels: , , , ,

Something pretty interesting has just been spotted at the FCC and it's being called the IHDT56MJ1. Yup, that tells us just about nothing. Furthermore, said device is sporting WiFi 802.11n support, CDMA EVDO connectivity, and actually has the same naming scheme as the Motorola devices on Verizon. Secrets for this device are going to be kept under wraps for about 180 days so it actually might not launch until August. The rumours are pointing to this one being the Motorola DROID X 2 so it should be quite the upgrade. Check it out at the FCC if you have time to kill.

Sony Ericsson WP7 Handset Leaks In Prototype Form, With a Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard

Labels: , , , ,

A new photo of a Sony Ericsson smartphone has just leaked. Judging from the display and the three capacitive buttons, it's a prototype Windows Phone 7 handset from the company. Now, there's no way of confirming this one's real because it could just be an awesome photoshop job. Then again, I don't really know why anyone would waste their time photoshopping something like this. It looks pretty legit to me so now we wait for Sony Ericsson to announce this one.
