They'll be available starting on December 7th for $1,100, $1,250, and $1,600, respectively, so you better have some moolah ready. The Envy 15 comes with a standard 15.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution (with a 500GB HDD), while the Envy 17 steps it up with a 17.3-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. The Envy 17 and 17 3D both pack a 750GB HDD and the 3D model also has 8GB of RAM along with a Blu-ray player which is great if you need it.

HTC Zeta Rumoured To Feature Quad-Core 2.5GHz CPU and Android 4.0

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Just when you thought the dual-core 1.5GHz CPU and the upcoming Tegra 3 CPU were fast here comes a new rumour. Engadget has gotten an exclusive rumour dubbed the HTC "Zeta". Apparently, this super-superphone will feature an upcoming and obvious next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core APQ8064 2.5GHz CPU which just sounds absolutely insane. Other specs reportedly include a 4.5-inch 720p display, 32GB of storage, Beats Audio, Bluetooth 4.0 / WiFi support, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, a 9.8mm thin body that weighs 146 grams, a 1,830mAh battery, and Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" with the Sense UI. The body actually looks very HTC-like but keep in mind that it's just a rendering right now.

Now, they say it'll have ICS at launch but the buttons are still present so hopefully those will disappear before the launch that should be coming sometime in 2012. That Galaxy Nexus isn't looking like a beast anymore.

HTC Ville Rumour Says That Sense UI Will Destroy Android "Ice Cream Sandwich" In April

Labels: , , , ,

BGR has just picked up quite the exclusive scoop on an HTC phone that you should see sometime in 2012. The HTC "Ville" is rumoured to be launching in April 2012. This smartphone is said to pack a mediocre 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display but it makes up for it with the rest of the spec sheet. Apparently, it'll house a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon CPU, an 8mm thin body, HSPA+ support, Beats Audio, a 1,650mAh battery, and Android "Ice Cream Sandwich" with the Sense 4.0 UI.

That spec sheet seems pretty good right now but it'll be a hard sell with HD displays and quad-core CPUs taking over mobile phones in 2012. Furthermore, HTC is putting their Sense skin over top of the sexy "Ice Cream Sandwich" so you might want to pick up a Galaxy Nexus is you don't want to get slowed down.
