HP Unveils AMD-Based Pavilion dm1z Notebook, Available On January 9th

Slightly ahead of CES 2011, HP has just unveiled their latest update to their Pavilion dm1z notebook. This update now features an 11.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an AMD E-350 (Zacate) CPU, AMD Radeon HD6310 graphics, a 250GB HDD (up to a 750GB HDD / 128GB SSD), 2GB of RAM (up to 8GB), WiFi b/g/n support, and a 6-cell battery that will reportedly last just over 9 hours with the WiFi off. This notebook will be available starting on January 9th and the base model will cost you $449. Of course, if you want to speed up boot times and want to give yourself another hour of up-time from your battery then the SSD upgrade will be quite hefty.
