First Legit [and Very Blurry], But Possibly Old PSP 2 Photos Leak?

Labels: , ,

Two photos coming from vg247 may have just busted open the rumour mill regarding the next-gen PSP. Apparently, the pictures you see above and below are being dubbed the PSP 2. The blurry photos actually don't tell us much so thankfully there are big bright red arrows and labels. In prototype form, the PSP 2 is rumoured to feature a microphone, a front-facing camera, dual thumbsticks, a rear-facing camera, and a trackpad on the back. However, these photos are reportedly an older prototype because the new prototype does not slide, like the PSP Go. Do you believe these?

A new rumour coming from DigiTimes mentions a bit more information regarding the 7-inch Motorola MOTOPAD. Apparently, this will be launching in Q1 2011; more specifically in February or March. Inside you'll reportedly find Nvidia's Tegra 2 chipset and you'll be seeing this in a lot of tablets at CES 2011 in early January. Yes, this will be running Android's "Honeycomb" so maybe Google really is going to choose this tablet as their demo unit.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (Anzu) Gets Previewed, Actually Has the New 800MHz CPU

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

We already heard that Eldar Murtazin from Mobile-Review got his hands on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X12 aka the Anzu and it looks like he wasn't kidding. His website has just previewed the smartphone and mentions that it still needs a bit of work. Right now it's only running on Android 2.1 (might be running just Froyo [2.2] when it launches, with an update to Gingerbread [2.3] after) and the camera wasn't working to its full potential.

Other than that they confirmed a few specs. The X12 actually features a Qualcomm MSM7230 800MHz CPU (same as the G2 / Desire Z), which is faster than the X10's 1GHz Snapdragon CPU. Of course, this is still in prototype form so the company still needs to put their skin over Android - which kind of sucks. Anyways, the display is 4.3-inches (with a 480 x 854 resolution), it has an HDMI output, and has a thinner body and is lighter than the X10. I'd advise you to check out the whole preview below!
