Samsung Galaxy Tab Hitting Sprint For $399 On November 14th? $599 Contract-Free

Labels: , , , , , , ,

According to one of Boy Genius' sources, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be hitting Sprint USA for $399 on a 2-year contract. That is actually a pretty good deal compared to the prices that we’ve been hearing about overseas. I feel sorry for them now. The contract-free price is said to be $599 which, again, is a good deal, and is definitely much cheaper than what I was expecting. Apparently, Sprint plans to launch this Android 2.2 based tablet on November 14th, which is a day you might want to mark down on your calendar. The bad part about all of this news is that this tablet doesn’t have phone functionalities in the US but at least you can still make video calls thanks to the front and rear-facing cameras on board.

Motorola's Website Confirms the Droid 2 Global's Existence, Some Specs Leak (1.2GHz CPU Anyone?)

Labels: , , , , , ,

On Motorola's own website there was information that was spotted before they pulled all of it. Apparently, the Droid 2 Global briefly appeared on the website confirming that it does exist. Furthermore, they even posted a few specs regarding this smartphone, things like: a 5MP AF camera with a dual-LED flash, an improved slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 1.2GHz CPU, and Android 2.2. Pictures weren't put up so maybe this is the World Edition DROID 2 that everyone has been waiting for - set for a Verizon release I assume.
