The one you see here in the picture and the video is confusingly named the Cruz Reader, which Engadget points out is actually more of a "full-fledged tablet" since it has access to games, apps, and web-browsing - basically things a tablet should do. This will be retailing for $199 and should be available soon. You can also expect their Cruz Tablet running Android sometime in August and that will actually cost you $299. The Cruz Tablet will feature 4GB of internal storage, an SD card slot (8GB in the box), and Flash support. Velocity Micro will also be releasing a $149 StoryPad which is said to feature a spill-resistant case with some basic functionalities.

Apple Launching 5.6-Inch and 7-Inch iPad OLED Models In Q4?

Labels: , , , , ,

There's a new rumour going around, from Digitimes, that Apple is looking to release another iPad later this year. Apparently, there'll be two models, one with a 5.6-inch and the other with a 7-inch display. Both models will be sporting an OLED display, but there's no word on if it'll be a retina display. Of course, these are just rumours so don't be surprised if these don't happen. Samsung will be supplying the OLED displays and they are going through some shortages right now. If the rumour is true, this new iPad will be launching before the holiday season of this year - sometime in Q4.
