Gateway Bringing Their ID and LT Series Laptops To the US Soon

A bunch of new Gateway laptops are about to hit the US; these include the ID Series notebooks and the LT Series netbooks. The 14-inch ID49 and 15.6-inch ID59 notebooks will be available in a couple of weeks with a base price of around $800. They'll both be packing the awesome glowing touchpads and you'll find Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options along with Nvidia's Optimus graphics. The LT23 netbook will be packing a 10.1-inch display, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, and Windows 7. This netbook will be available for $329 soon and Engadget has a bunch of pictures of all of the laptops if you check out their site.

New Lenovo IdeaPad Smartbook With Freescale Innards

Over the weekend, a new smartbook was spotted from Lenovo that'll be a part of their IdeaPad Series. This smartbook was reportedly being powered by a Freescale i.MX515 SoC with an ARM Cortex A8 processor. Apparently, this chip will give the smartbook smartphone-like battery life, but we'll see how that works out. We'll see how well the multitasking will work on this sucker.

Apple's iPhone 4 Delayed Until Late July Because It's Hard To Make

For the millions of you waiting for the sexy white iPhone 4, you'll have to wait about a month longer. Apple has cited that it's "more challenging to manufacture than expected" so you'll have to wait until late July for the white model. We don't know exactly what problems they're having but that really doesn't matter. Just wait a bit, okay?

Verizon's Motorola DROID X Gets Official, Coming On July 15th For $199.99

Now that the DROID Eris is no longer on Verizon, they have decided that today would be a big day. No, we're not talking about the iPhone 4 hitting customers a bit early, we're talking about the Motorola DROID X getting official! Verizon will be launching the DROID X on July 15th for $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. The specs are exactly what we thought they were and it'll be available with Android 2.1 (with an updated and all-new custom UI) at launch. Phandroid points out that it'll be getting an update to Android 2.2 "Froyo" later this Summer. The most important specs are: the 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 854 resolution) display, an HDMI port, an 8MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, a TI OMAP 3640 1GHz CPU, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 9.9mm thin body, and a 1,540mAh battery. Update: Phandroid points out that, like AT&T and Apple, Verizon will be offering the DROID X to you if your contract ends anytime in 2010. That should boost sales a bit more.

US Cellular Releasing the BlackBerry Bold 9650 In "Early August"

US Cellular has just announced on Facebook that they'll be launching the BlackBerry Bold 9650. They were quick to announce the specifications of the smartphone but we already know all of that so it doesn't really matter much. Look out for it in "early August" just like they said.

Vodafone Releases the HTC Wildfire and the Samsung Galaxy S

Well, Vodafone now has their 845 Android-based handset but they've launched two more smartphones today. The first one is the HTC Wildfire which people are calling a mini Desire. This handset is now available for free on a 2-year contract where you'll have to pay £20 monthly. That contract will be enough to get you 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and just 500MB of data. The other handset that is now available on the carrier is the Samsung Galaxy S. This handset will also be free on contract but you'll have to pay £30 monthly. That'll come with 900 minutes, unlimited text, and 1GB of data. You may more for the Galaxy S, but you get more. Check out the Wildfire here, while the Galaxy S is here.

New Touchscreen iMac With Mac OS X and iOS Expected In Less Than 60 Days

There's a new rumour going around about Apple's all in one PC, the iMac. What's expected is that the iMac will get a touchscreen display but that's not all. The rumour states that it'll actually have Mac OS X on it along with a "touch interface for iOS." This rumour likely started because a lot of people believe that Apple plan to fuse the two operating system's together or they'll work in harmony or something like that. We'll see what happens. Oh yes, this iMac should actually be unveiled in the next 60 days so start saving up.

T-Mobile Releases the Samsung Gravity 3, the Gravity T, and the :)

As expected, T-Mobile USA has released three Samsung handsets. The first one is above and it's the Samsung (T669) Gravity T. The one below is the Samsung (T479) Gravity 3, while the one below that is the (T359) :) [yes, the Samsung :)]. They're now available for $74.99, $49.99, and $19.99 on a 2-year contract, respectively. They'll be available in a few minutes / hours on the T-Mobile website - I'll update this post when it's up.

T-Mobile Releasing the LG dLite On July 21st, GS170 On July 28th

T-Mobile looks like they're prepping up to launch two LG phones next month. The first handset is the LG dLite which will be available on July 21st. The other handset that will be hitting the carrier will be the LG GS170 and that will be seven days later, on July 28th. We already know that the other LG handset, the Sentio, will be hitting the carrier on June 30th. Furthermore, the prices for all three of these handsets are still unknown so we'll have to wait for that a bit longer.

HP Unveils the Mini 100e Netbook, Intended For Students

HP has just unveiled their latest netbook and it's the Mini 100e. It's sporting a 10.1-inch LED-backlit WSVGA display, an Intel Atom N455 CPU, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a VGA webcam, a 3 / 6-cell battery, WiFi support, and Windows XP / 7 Starter Edition / SUSE Linux OS options. This netbook will be available in July and will be directed at students with its $299 price tag.

Canada Getting the Nokia E72, Via Telus, On July 11th

Even though the Nokia E73 Mode is already out in the US - thanks to T-Mobile - it looks like Telus will be sticking with launching the Nokia E72. Of course, we've known this for a while. Now we know that Telus has decided to launch the smartphone on July 11th which is a Sunday. The price is still unknown but we do know that the smartphone features a 2.4-inch display with a 240 x 320 resolution, a 5MP AF camera with a flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS / WiFi support.
