HTC HD3 Rumoured To Be Absolutely Freakin' Awesome, Let's Hope It's Real

Labels: , , , , ,

We've heard rumours about the first Windows Phone 7 Series handset being the HTC Obsession / Diamond 3. Those specs were impressive, but this new rumoured handset blows those specs away. Apparently, HTC is working on the HD3 and you should hold your breath right now.

The rumoured spec sheet includes: a 4.5-inch AMOLED multitouch capacitive display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash and 720p video recording capabilities, 1080p HD video playback, an HDMI output, WiFi / Bluetooth / 3G / 4G, 1GB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, 32GB of storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack. The body is said to be just 10mm thin and it has a 1,800mAh battery that should last a pretty long time.

These specs sound so blown out of proportion that it sounds too good to be true. If this handset does somehow launch this year it'll definitely be late Q4.

Samsung Unveils Their Windows Phone 7 Series Handset

Labels: , , , ,

The third Windows Phone 7 Series handset has just been revealed. Following LG and Asus models, Samsung has just unveiled their own. There's no name for this handset and the spec sheet, of course, isn't final right now but they did hint at a couple of things. The things we do know is that this handset will feature at least 256MB of RAM, 8GB of flash storage, and possibly an (Super) AMOLED screen.

Keep in mind that the Windows Phone 7 minimal specifications include: aGPS, accelerometer, digital compass, a proximity sensor, a light, a 5MP camera with a flash, and a 480 x 800 resolution display (HVGA 480 x 320 resolution at a later date). To me, this handset looks like an exact clone of the Samsung i8910 OmniaHD - except it's running Windows Phone 7 Series.
