Labels: , , , , ,

Following Rogers, Fido could be looking to release the Android-based Acer Liquid E smartphone. Howard Forums has just mentioned that Fido employees could start training for this smartphone sometime next week and the launch will be in a couple of weeks. Rumoured price points are said to be $50 on a 3-year contract and $350 contract-free. The Liquid E features a 3.5-inch display, an underclocked 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a 5MP camera, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and version 2.1 of the OS. Look out for leaks regarding this one soon.

Update: A newer Mobile Syrup post has confirmed that Fido will be launching the Acer Liquid E Android-powered smartphone. It should be available in a few weeks.
