Acer Shows Off the beTouch E130, Like a Touchscreen Bold With Android - Without the Looks

Labels: , , , , ,

It looks like all the craze at Computex isn't amazingly thin laptops and prototype tablets. Acer, for the first time, has just revealed their beTouch E130 handset. This is sporting a 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, an optical trackpad, WiFi support, 512MB of ROM, a microSD card slot, 256MB of RAM, a 3.2MP camera, an ST Ericsson 416MHz CPU, 3G connectivity, and Android. It was running Android 1.6 when it was on display but it could be getting an upgrade to either version 2.1 or 2.2 before it launches. The price and release date, of course, weren't mentioned.
