Australia Getting the BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9100) Via Telstra, Launching May 24th

Labels: , , ,

Over in Australia, Telstra has just announced that they'll be launching the BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9100). Thankfully, this is the model that has a SureType QWERTY keyboard and not the traditional T9 one. Other specs are said to be a 360 x 400 resolution, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth support, HSDPA connectivity, a 3.2MP AF camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, BlackBerry Messenger, and a 624MHz CPU. The best part about all of this is that we now know that RIM will be offering this handset in a "royal purple" colour - as well as a black one.

Update: According to Unwired View, the official launch date for the Pearl 3G (9100) on Telstra in Australia is May 24th. You'll be able to get this handset for free on select contracts or you can also get it for $679 contract-free.
