Nokia Posts Results For Q1, Symbian^3 Device Expected In Q3

Labels: ,

Engadget is mentioning that Nokia is delaying their first Symbian^3 handset until Q3, but Unwired View mentions that Nokia never said anything about launching said device in the first half of 2010 so it's not delayed - per say. Either way they both agree that the first Symbian^3 powered handset is expected in Q3 of this year. Nokia posted their Q1 2010 results and they're below, courtesy of Unwired View.

The Finnish company’s nets sales (including sales from services, Nokia Siemens networks and Navteq) totalized €9.52 billion – a 3% increase compared to sales in Q1 2009, but a 21% decreased compared to sales in Q4 2009.
Nokia’s net profit in Q1 2010 was €820 million – 60% higher than in Q1 2009 and 44% lower than in Q4 2009.
107.8 million Nokia phones were sold in Q1 2010 (33% global market share) – compared to 126.9 million in the previous quarter (Q4 2010) and 93.2 million in Q1 2009. The average selling price (ASP) was €62.
Of the 107.8 million units shipped in Q1 2010, 21.5 million were smartphones, like the E72 (pictured below), which will soon have a White Edition.
