Sony Unveils Their Price and Release Dates For Their Own 3D-Capable HDTVs For Japan

Labels: , ,

In Japan, Sony is looking to splash a bit of 3D love. Of course, after burning a hole through your wallet you're going to need all the love you can get. Their LX900 series varies in sizes from 40, 46, 51, and 60-inches and will range in price from ¥290,000 ($3,222 USD) and ¥580,000 ($6,444 USD). On the HX900 and HX800 models you'll have to get the glasses and the TMR-BR100 IR emitter separately which will cost you an extra ¥5,000 ($55 USD), so that definitely sucks. You don't have to get them though and you'll see get beautiful 2D Full HD quality with these WiFi-connected TVs. A bunch of them are expected to drop later this month, but most of them are expected to launch in June and July of this year.
