HP Updates Pavilion Elite HPE Desktop PCs and EliteBook / ProBook Notebooks

Labels: , , , , , ,

HP is constantly showing off more and more products and this one involves their latest desktop PCs. The HP Pavilion Elite HPE (High Performance Edition) has been updated to contain at least 8GB of RAM, at least a 1TB HDD, Intel Core 2 Quad / Core i7 / AMD Phenom II CPU options, Nvidia / ATI graphics, WiFi n support, a TV tuner, and a Blu-ray drive. These should be available in mid-January, but the price hasn't been mentioned - we'll see them at a later date.

Like the desktop PCs, these notebook PCs vary in specifications. "The ProBook models, the 6440b (14-inch) and 6540b (15.6-inch), have a starting price of $949, while the gunmetal aluminum-clad EliteBook 8440w and 8540w start at $1,299 and $1,499, respectively. Finally the more traditional platinum aluminum 8440p and 8540p start at $1,099 and $1,249." You'll see anything from Intel mobile Core i5 / i7 CPU options and several new Nvidia Quadro graphics inside of these notebooks. These notebooks will be available in February.
