Google Nexus One Is Now Official; Also Headed To Verizon In Spring, Vodafone Later

Labels: , , , , , ,

So, this morning Google held a conference for their mobile OS, Android. The whole event was circulated around making the Nexus One all official though. The specs that we heard are true, so that's: a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, GPS / WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 5MP camera with an LED flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two microphones for noise cancellation, and Android 2.1. It's an HTC branded phone, but it's the first phone that you can directly buy from Google. It's now available on Google's site for $180 on a T-Mobile US plan and $530 unlocked.

Update: Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's available in Canada yet. According to Engadget, yes, it's headed to Verizon in Spring 2010 and Vodafone will also launch it later this year as well.
