Motorola Files For the Name "Backflip", Could Be For the Motus

We've just got word that Motorola has just filed for the name "Backflip" in Europe. This could mean that the Motorola Motus will be launching in the US as the Motus, but it could get the Backflip name overseas - and in Canada. This would be similar to the DROID / MILESTONE.

MSI GT640 and GT740 Notebooks Get Announced

We already heard about the MSI GT640 notebook last month, so there's no need for me to talk about it again. The real focus here is the MSI GT740 notebook that was just announced. Both of these machines are, generally, the same, but the GT740 has a larger 17-inch display. It comes with: Intel Core i7 CPU options, Nvidia GeForce GTS 250M graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB HDD, an optional Blu-ray drive, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

This notebook will also have the ability to play 5.1 surround sound from its speakers. The GT640 and the GT740 will cost £1,349 ($2,254 USD) £1,400 ($2,339 USD), respectively. The GT640 will be available in December, but the GT740 will actually be available by the end of this month.

Capacitive Stylus For the HTC HD2 Has a Listing On Clove UK

A couple of months ago we heard about a capacitive stylus from HTC. According to Clove UK, this stylus looks like it's on the way and it's for the HTC HD2. It won't be necessary to buy it but if you want to get it then go ahead. It should be available for £15 ($25 USD) when they launch it.

T-Mobile UK Releases the HTC HD2 For Free Too

Well, another carrier in Europe has just launched the HTC HD2. T-Mobile UK has the smartphone for free on a 2-year contract where you'll have to pay 35 Pounds ($58 USD) a month. This smartphone is available on their site here and comes with WinMo 6.5 of course.

If you're keeping track, that's 3 carriers in Europe that have the HD2 and zero for US. Don't worry, it's coming in 2010 though.

Tesco Mobile To Start Selling iPhones Soon

If you're unfamiliar with Tesco, it's like the Walmart of Britain - at least that's what some sites are saying. Tesco Mobile has announced that it will start selling the iPhone, but they haven't announced their pricing plans yet. Of course, being on Tesco means you're on O2's network so we could see aggressive pricing here.

Inbrics Android MID Sports QWERTY Keyboard and AMOLED Touchscreen, Headed To US In 2010

What you see here is the Inbrics Android MID. They'll be showing this off at the next CES event, which will be in January. To make things even better, they have just announced that they'll be releasing this MID in the USA sometime in 2010. Inbrics went on to mention that this Android MID has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, an AMOLED touchscreen display, WiFi / GPS support, and a DMB digital TV tuner. 3G wasn't announced, but it could make its way into the final unit. They plan on launching it alongside a carrier - similar to the Dell Streak MID. Be sure to watch the video below.

MSI X-Slim X430 Notebook Officially Announced, Running AMD Athlon Neo X2

MSI has just revealed another notebook, the X-Slim X430. This notebook comes with an AMD Athlon Neo X2 CPU and has a 14-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution. Other specs include: ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, 2GB of RAM, WiFi n, a 320GB / 500GB HDD, an HDMI output, Bluetooth support, an integrated webcam, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Yes, MSI has officially announced this device, but they haven't spilled the launch details yet.

Nokia N900 Shipping For Real This Time, In the US.

If you bought ordered your Nokia N900, we're hearing reports that it has just started to ship out. I'm really hoping that you ordered it from Amazon though and not Nokia's official store - since it's a lot cheaper. Yeah, it's a little bit delayed, but it's better than nothing.

Motorola MILESTONE Headed to the UK On December 7th?

Although the Motorola MILESTONE has hit some places in Europe already, it hasn't come to the UK yet. Well, according to SuperETrader, the MILESTONE will be headed to the UK as early as December 7th. You can actually pre-order it on their site now for 439.99 ($731 USD). Of course, that's the unlocked model.

LG's Second Android Handset, the GW880, Headed to China Mobile

LG's second handset has just been announced (the first one being the LG GW620 Eve) and it's headed to China Mobile. The LG GW880 has more muscle than the Eve (but doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard) and sports: a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, a 5MP camera, GPS / Bluetooth support, and a special China Mobile App Store - along with Android's Marketplace. The price hasn't been mentioned yet, but we're sure that it'll be announced soon.
