LG Looking To Refresh Their Watch Phone Line-Up; Planning Keyboard-Less Android Handset For 2010

Labels: , , , ,

LG's first watch phone is pictured above, the GD910, and it looks like we've just got word that they're looking to refresh it. The first model was a bit too bulky for the female users, so they could be making a smaller variant.

We're also hearing that LG is planning on releasing a non-keyboard Android handset sometime in 2010. Let's hope this is the LG handset with the Snapdragon CPU.

There's not much for me to report here besides the title, but it looks like the Dell Mini 3i will be launching in both Brazil and China fairly soon. They'll be hitting both markets by the end of the year - China's expecting to launch it in the next couple of days. In China it'll be available on China Mobile with no 3G; in Brazil it'll be available on Claro and will feature 3G connectivity - likely WiFi as well.

Google Planning To Launch Chrome OS In About a Week From Now?

Labels: , ,

According to Tech Crunch's "reliable sources" Google's Chrome OS will launch in beta form in around a week from now. Don't expect it to be all that stable though; the driver support should also be lacking. There's really not that much to say, but netbooks shipping with Chrome OS is still scheduled for sometime next year - at least that's what we believe. I can't wait to try it out!

Android 2.0-Based "Vega" Tablet Meant To Be Used Around the House

Labels: , , , , ,

A small company named Innovative Converged Devices (ICD) has just unveiled the tablet you see above, dubbed Vega - reminding me of the Street Fighter character. Anyways, this device actually seems pretty interesting. It has a nice look to it and it really helps that it's running Android 2.0. It'll be available in three sizes: 7, 11, and 15-inches. Of course, it'll have WiFi / 3G support and it'll reportedly be "low cost." Thankfully, it'll have a stand - as you can see below.

Other specs include: a front-facing webcam, Bluetooth support, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, and even Nvidia's Tegra chipset. This tablet will be available through a bunch of carriers in North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
