Labels: ,

Emo Labs has just unveiled their "Edge Motion invisible speaker tech which relies on implanting a clear membrane stop display panels, which is then vibrated by piezoelectric actuators to generate stereo audio." Below is a video on the said monitor. Unfortunately, I don't know how expensive this monitor is and I also don't know when this will be hitting the shelves. This technology is pretty awesome though.

Philips Officially Reveals Xenium K700

Labels: , , ,

We've heard about this device before - back in early August - but it actually looks nothing like a cell phone. Maybe because it's on its side and the button looks like it would be easier to use in this position. Anyways, the Philips Xenium K700 looks like a PMP, but it's actually a phone. It has: a touchscreen WQVGA display, a 3.2MP camera, a dedicated GPU, tri-band EDGE connectivity, and a 1,000 mAh battery.

Toshiba Still Planning On Selling Cell TV This Year -- This Time With Blu-Ray

Labels: , , ,

Back in April, we heard that Toshiba would be launching their Cell TV this year and they have just reiterated that. This TV appears to have: a Cell CPU (same one found in the PS3), an LED-backlit 3D GUI, DLNA streaming capabilities, a 1TB HDD, and a Blu-ray recorder. Yes, that's right. Toshiba has decided to pack an integrated Blu-ray recorder onto this TV. It's expected to launch later this year - probably in Asia first - but we're expecting a launch next year in the US. We still don't know the price, but if you want one you'd better start saving your money.

Verizon Not Launching the Pre? Also Sold Out of the Touch Pro 2 -- Rolling Out 4G Everywhere in 2010

Labels: , , , , , ,

For a while now, we've been hearing that Verizon could be getting the Palm Pre, and that it would launch in early 2010. According to the latest unconfirmed news, Verizon has decided that they will not launch the Pre. Maybe this means that they have other plans for a big early 2010 launch. Maybe they'll be launching the XPERIA X3? I don't know, I just thought I'd mention what my wishful thoughts are. On a side note, it looks like AT&T will be launching the Palm Pre when Sprint's exclusivity with the handset comes to an end.

According to the latest reports, Verizon actually looks like they're sold out of the HTC Touch Pro 2. This handset is one of the best ones they have right now, so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

Update: According to Electronista, Verizon will be rolling out their 4G network "all-at-once" in 2010. If you want to know more, just go here and read the whole article.

Refreshed iMacs Coming By the End of October? -- With Blu-Ray?

We heard this rumour before so it shouldn't be all that surprising. These new iMacs will, apparently, be a bit thinner and will "look more like the LED Cinema Display, with mystery features that make them the 'most versatile ever.'" The rumour states that this could be an integrated Blu-ray player and that could be a first for Apple. These new iMacs could actually be launched right before Windows 7 gets released on October 22nd, so try to keep a close eye on it.
