Windows 8 and Windows 9 Could Have 128-Bit Support

Labels: , , ,

According to the latest news, Microsoft is planning to ship Windows 8 with 128-bit capabilities. We've heard that Windows 8 - or whatever it's called - will be strictly 64-bit (no 32-bit), but it may include 128-bit support. Windows 9 is "definitely supporting" IA-128. Microsoft is still hard at work on Windows 8 so don't expect it to launch for another 2-3 years.

In related news, Windows 7 will be available in just over two weeks - October 22.
