Verizon Launching Motorola DROID On November 6th For $199; Android 2.0 and New Google Maps Navigation On-Board

After all of the teasing it's finally official. The Motorola DROID will be available on Verizon starting on November 6th for $199.99 USD on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. The spec sheet is also official. The Droid has: a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 854 resolution, a 5MP camera with a dual-LED flash, a microSD card slot, a 16GB card in the box, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3G / WiFi support, Android 2.0 "Eclair" OS, and the new Google Maps Navigation (which you can read and watch about on Engadget here)!
