Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Now Official, Rocking OLED Display, 8.1MP Camera and WinMo 6.5

Now that these specs are confirmed, I can bump it up on my top 10 phone list. At IFA, Sony decided to announce the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 to crash Nokia World. The XPERIA X2 has amazing features: a 3.2-inch (not 3.5-inch) OLED touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, an 8.1MP AF camera with touch focus and 16x digital zoom, quad-band GSM/GRPS/EDGE / tri-band UMTS/HSPA support, aGPS support, a Qualcomm MSM 7200 528MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, TV out, Bluetooth with DLNA support, a 4GB microSD card in the box, and Windows Mobile 6.5. Although it's no XPERIA X3, the XPERIA X2 is looking like a mighty fine handset. This is expected to launch in "select markets" in Q4 of this year with a version rocking WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz bands.

Update: Engadget got their first hands-on with this device. They've mentioned that it has a flashy / gimmicky home screen and they dislike the resistive touchscreen. Below is Engadget Mobile's hands-on video.

Update: WMPowerUser has just found out that the XPERIA X2 will be exclusive to Vodafone in the UK for a little while. The release is also pegged for "early Q4 2009" which probably means shortly after WinMo 6.5 / Windows Phone get officially released on October 6th.
