Sony Announces VAIO X Laptop Made of Carbon Fiber, 0.5-Inches Thin, 1.5 Pounds -- Definitely Overpriced

Labels: , ,

Sony has an announced the VAIO X ultraportable laptop. This laptop has: an 11.1-inch display, an "all-day battery that 'will set the new standard for stamina'", and an Intel Atom CPU, which is unidentified at the time. This laptop is also made of carbon fiber, weighs just 1.5 pounds, and is around 0.5-inches thin. It definitely looks attractive and will be extremely easy to carry around, but it's Sony, so it'll probably be overpriced Unfortunately, but thankfully [for our wallets] we don't know the price yet. Check out the link below for live photos.

Update: Engadget just got their hands-on with the X-Series ultraportable. So at this point the Atom CPU is still undecided at the moment. This notebook has: two USB 2.0 ports, an SD/Memory Stick card slot, and VGA output. The price is said to be below $2,000 USD, so it'll be expensive nonetheless.

Looks like some confusion here. Vaio is a Sony product and not Nokia.

Thanks for pointing that out, I have no clue why I did that. The tags were correct, but I wrote down Nokia in the title and the body by accident. Thanks again! Sorry if I caused any confusion.
