Alienware Make m15x Gaming Notebook With Core i7 and Area 51 / Aurora Desktop PCs Official!

Labels: , ,

Looks like the tip from yesterday proved to be correct. Alienware has leaked out the m15x. This notebook is definitely packed with a bunch of goodies. In the Alienware m15x, you can expect: a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, HDD / SSD options, a Core i7 CPU, a 2MP webcam, optional Blu-ray optical drive, FireWire, three USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, an ExpressCard / 8-in-1 card reader slot, an optional 9-cell battery, and a DisplayPort / VGA port. Unlike the m17x, it likely will not have a dual-GPU option, but if it does then it'll push the price that much more.

In the meantime, you can check it out on Alienware's support page. Look out for the official announcement later today from Alienware themselves.

Update: Alienware has just officially announced the gaming m15x notebook, the new Area 51 / Area 51 ALX, and the Aurora / Aurora ALX  desktop PCs. In case you wanted to know, the m15x has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M GPU. Since I'm living the University life now, I won't have time to talk about it today. It's a fairly lengthy post, but you can check it out on Engadget [here] now!
