LG Unveil GC990 Louvre With 12MP Camera; Also Unveil Low-End GW300

Labels: , , ,

You may not remember, but back at MWC, LG announced that it would unveil its first 12MP cameraphone later this year. Well, here it is. First off, I don't know what's up with this "Louvre" naming trend. First, it was the Samsung B7610 Louvre and now LG has unveiled the LG GC990 Louvre. However, LG's Louvre is focusing on its extensive camera abilities. The LG GC990 Louvre has a 12MP AF camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, a xenon flash, and HD video recording at 30fps. It was recently showcased at a Korea Products Exhibition in Warsaw. Other features include: a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, WiFi with DLNA, TV out, aGPS support, Bluetooth, DivX support, and will run the latest S-Class Touch UI. The price and availability for this handset has not been mentioned yet.

Just because LG unveiled 2 sweet phones already (next-gen LG Chocolate and the above LG GC990) doesn't mean they're finished yet. LG capped the day off by unveiling a low-end handset / smartphone for your Facebooking and e-mailing needs. The LG GW300 has: a 2.4-inch display with a 240 x 320 resolution, stereo Bluetooth, USB 2.0 connectivity, GPRS / EDGE support aka no 3G, a full QWERTY keypad, and a supposed 3.2MP camera. The pricing and availability for this handset also have not been revealed, but seeing how it's a low-end handset it'll be on the cheaper side of things.
