Gateway Unveils SX Small-Form and DX Mini-Tower PCs

Labels: , , ,

Gateway has been on a roll lately, releasing their LT3100 netbook two days ago and then their NV Series notebook this morning. Now they have just announced their latest desktop PCs, the SX small-form and the DX mini-tower.

First up is the Gateway SX small-form desktop PC that has: an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33GHz CPU, GMA X4500 integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, a 640GB HDD, an 18x DVD writer, a multi-card reader, 9 USB 2.0 slots, a FireWire / eSATA port, and VGA / HDMI outputs. This SX desktop PC will run Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit and - with the above configuration - will cost $499 USD.

The DX mini-tower desktop PC is more powerful, including: an Intel Core 2 Quad with a Nvidia GeForce G210 graphics card / an AMD Phenom X4 CPU with an ATI Radeon 4650 graphics card, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up a 1TB HDD, 8 USB 2.0 slots, and everything else the above SX desktop PC has. This one, though, starts at $750 USD.

HP also capped these PCs off by releasing their new FHD monitors, which come in 3 sizes - 21.5, 23, and 24-inches. In addition to this news, it seems that Gateway also updated their LX and FX desktops as well.

Both of these PCs are expected to be available by the end of June, which is pretty much here already.
