Acer's Nvidia Ion-based Nettop AspireRevo

Labels: , , ,

We've seen this nettop before. The Acer AspireRevo made its first official debut today alongside a bunch of other Acer products that I still have to talk about. This was shown off at CES with its Wii-like functionality. Hardware-wise, the AspireRevo doesn't disappoint. It has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 CPU, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 250GB of HDD, a 4-in-1 card reader, gigabit Ethernet, and six USB 2.0 / HDMI / VGA sockets. I almost forgot to mention that this small nettop is capable of handling 1080p (yes, even Blu-ray). It will run on Windows Vista and will have DirectX 10 support. What surprises me the most about this nettop is that it manages to pack in all of that hardware into such a small box (just 7.1 x 7.1 x 1.2-inches). As of right now, there is no word on the price or availability, but Engadget mentions that it should be available by the end of this quarter.
