For your money you'll be getting a 14-inch display with a 1,600 x 900 resolution, an Intel Core i5-2476M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a backlit keyboard, NFC, Beats Audio, full copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements, and a 9-hour battery life. Huawei Announces the Ascend P1 and P1 S, Just 6.8mm Thin and Has Android 4.0

Labels: , , ,

Huawei has just announced what's being touted as the world's thinnest phone yet. This one's called the Ascend P1 S but there's also a fatter model called the P1. Both of them share pretty much the same spec sheet but the P1 S is just 6.8mm thin (the P1 is 7.69mm). This smartphone packs a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, a dual-core TI OMAP 4460 1.5GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, an SGX 540 CPU, an 8MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, pentaband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, and Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich".

Those specs are actually quite good so I wonder how Huawei managed to cram all of that power into this thin phone. The Ascend P1 S will be hitting North America in Q2 of this year which is just a few months away. The price is still unknown right now.
