Asus Padfone To Launch In Q1 2012 With Android ICS

Labels: , , , , , ,

Remember the Asus Padfone? Well, it looks like you'll be waiting a while for it. Asus' CEO didn't stop after he announced the Transformer Prime. He also mentioned that the Padfone will be launching in Q1 2012 (according to the current timing) with Android "Ice Cream Sandwich" which is great news for everyone. I'm assuming that the specs for it aren't final yet but I'm hoping that it'll be a Tegra 3 powering the whole thing. This is definitely something to get excited for!

Asus Announces the Tegra 3 Packing Transformer Prime Tablet, Release Set For November 9

Labels: , , , , ,

Asus has just announced something great and you might want to think about the next device you buy. Yes,  Asus' CEO, Jonney Shih, has just announced the Transformer Prime at Asia D. This tablet is set to hit the market on November 9th which is just a few weeks away and it'll feature Android but he didn't mention what version so it might not be "Ice Cream Sandwich". However, he did say that he expects ICS to hit tablets before the end of this year so this one could be set for an upgrade as soon as it becomes open-source.

The tablet itself features the quad-core Nvidia Kal-El (Tegra 3) CPU and will also have a 10-inch display, a keyboard dock, an 8.3mm thin body, miniHDMI / USB ports, an SD card slot, and apparently a 14.5-hour battery life. This hybrid device could make an impact on the tablet market but we're still without a price which is the most important part.
