Samsung may not be snatching up HP's business but they won't need to if they keep cranking out laptops that look like this. The company has just announced the Series 7 notebook, the 700Z and it looks pretty darn sexy. It's not slacking in the specifications department and it has a brushed metallic body. Yup, take a look at that multitouch glass trackpad - taken from the MacBook Pro. Pocket-Lint is saying that this is the best trackpad on a Windows PC which is a good start.
Inside, you can expect a 14 or 15.6-inch (300-nit) display with a 1,600 x 900 resolution, an Intel Core i5 CPU, 6GB of RAM, and integrated graphics in the base model. This one's going for £799 which isn't too bad. Of course, premium models pack a Core i7 CPU, up to 750GB of HDD storage, 8GB of RAM, a backlit keyboard, and an ATI Radeon HD 6750M GPU. This one will cost you £999.
Update: This Is My Next has mentioned that the 15.6-inch model will be available with a Core i7 and ATI graphics for $1,000. There'll also be a $1,149 model which has a 750GB HDD along with an 8GB SSD with the OS on it for fast booting.
