Sony Ericsson Live Bumps Walkman and Android

Sony Ericsson has just announced their latest Walkman phone and it's running the Android OS. Dubbed the Sony Ericsson Live, this handset packs a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, and Android 2.3 with the company's own custom UI. It even packs a front-facing camera which is a bonus. This one's set to hit select markets in Q4 of this year - no word on a North American release for now.

The Source and Staples Releases the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 In Canada

If you're interested in the latest tablet from Samsung running Google's Android "Honeycomb" OS then the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now available in Canada. The tablet is now available at The Source and Staples for $499.99 and this is the 16GB WiFi-only model. Apparently in a few weeks Rogers, Bell, and Telus will be releasing a model with 4G (HSPA+) support. This tablet should be hitting Best Buy and Future Shop on August 26th.

LG Optimus Sol Packs an Ultra AMOLED Display

LG has just announced their latest Android handset which is in between the high-end and mid-end smartphone market. Dubbed the Optimus Sol, it packs a 3.8-inch Ultra AMOLED display which is similar to Samsung's Super AMOLED technology. The smartphone also packs a 1GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM, and Android 2.3 with their Dark UI to save even more battery life. This is set to hit Europe and Central / South America sometime this Fall.

Sprint Releases the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and the Bold 9930

Sprint has just released their two latest smartphones from RIM. Yes, the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and the Bold 9930 are now available on the US carrier. They'll cost you $149 and $199, respectively, on a 2-year contract. Both devices pack a mid-end level 1.2GHz CPU as well as OS 7. Check them out on Sprint now!
