MSI To Launch the FX420, FR720, and FX720 Notebooks In the US

MSI has just announced that three of their notebooks are headed to the US really soon. It's the FX420, FR720, and the FX720. First off, there's two models of the FX420 which are actually now available. This 14-inch notebook packs an Intel Core i3-2310M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, an AMD Radeon HD 6470 GPU, an HDMI output, WiFi b/g/n support, a 1.3MP webcam, and Windows 7 Home Premium. This base model will be going for $749.99. If you're willing to step up to the $849 model you'll get an Intel Core i5-2410M CPU and 6GB of DDR3 RAM. Check it out here if you want to.

The FR720 and the FX720 are 17-inch notebooks which are pretty different. The former features a Core i3 CPU along with Intel graphics, while the latter packs Core i5 / i7 CPU options along with a GeForce GT 520M GPU. They'll be available soon starting at $709 and $849, respectively.

LG Optimus One For AT&T Gets Pictured

PocketNow is back at it again. This time they've got pretty official photos of the LG Optimus One that's headed to AT&T in the US. The official name is unknown right now but it could be something like the Optimus A. This handset will be a mid-end one featuring a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, a 600MHz CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi / GPS support, and Android 2.2. It should be cheap on a 2-year contract so there's no need to worry.

Official Verizon HTC Merge Press Photos Leak

Coming from PocketNow is the photo you see above. Yes, they're press photos of the HTC Merge that'll be hitting Verizon soon (finally). Price and exact release details are still unknown right now but the full spec sheet is already known thus far.

The Merge features a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash and 720p HD video recording, and Android with the Sense UI. Will you wait for it?

T-Mobile G2x To Launch On April 15th, G-Slate "Soon" For $529 On a 2-Year Contract

You see that leaked image above? Of course you do. It tells us that a few products could be launching in the next few weeks. On April 15th, we could see the launch of the T-Mobile G2x which is the Optimus 2X for the carrier. The other big launch will be "soon" and it's the LG G-Slate which'll be the 3D "Honeycomb" tablet that we've seen a few times before. Unfortunately, this one will be launching for $529.99 and you'll be stuck on a 2-year contract.

Dell Streak 10 With "Honeycomb" Launching This Summer

Forbes has just mentioned something pretty neat and something that could be facing head on with the Samsung Galaxy Tab duo that'll be launching in the Summer. The report states that Dell will be launching the Streak 10 "Honeycomb" based tablet this Summer and it'll obviously pack a 10-inch display. We've seen it on stage before but it was a brief appearance. We'll hopefully see it launched next month or something.

This tablet has been available for a few months now in North America so you already know that it features a 7-inch display, a microSD card slot, a 1GHz CPU, and the Android OS.

Acer Releases New TimelineX Notebooks With "Sandy Bridge" In Taiwan

If you live in Taiwan then, lucky you! Acer has just released their latest TimelineX notebooks over there and they're packing the new Intel "Sandy Bridge" CPUs which is much faster than the old models of last year. The whole line-up has been refreshed, so that's the 13.3, 14, and 15.6-inch models. The smallest model features an Intel Core i3-2310M CPU while the other two pack a Core i4-2410M which is great.

Inside you'll find Nvidia's GT540M GPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 640GB HDD, USB 3.0 ports, and there's a 1,366 x 768 LED-backlit display that you'll be staring at all the time. Of course, being thin and light notebooks they're pretty expensive starting at around NT$32,900 ($1,133 USD) to NT$39,900 ($1,374 USD). Pick one up if you want to; we don't know when it'll hit North America yet.

Tests Show Motorola DROID X2 To Feature qHD Display and Tegra 2

We know that Verizon is going to launch the Android-based Motorola DROID X2 and we still don't know when it will get official. According to the latest tests, the smartphone should feature a qHD (960 x 540 resolution) display along with a speedy Tegra 2 CPU. Those are all the specs we have right now but it should be a pretty powerful smartphone - we don't know if it'll have 4G (LTE) right now.

24-Inch Acer Aspire Z5761 All In One PC Packs Intel Core i5 / i7 CPUs and Nvidia GPUs

Acer has just announced their latest and greatest all-in-one PC, the Aspire Z5761. This one's fairly capable of running Windows 7. Beneath the 24-inch touchscreen display (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) you'll find an Intel Core i5 / i7 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, Nvidia GPU options, up to 1.5TB of HDD storage, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR / WiFi b/g/n support, a 2MP webcam, hybrid analog / digital TV tuners, and even a Blu-ray reader / DVD burner.

It's quite a powerhouse so this could be a desktop replacement if you need it. It also has eight USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, and a memory card reader. This will be available in early May (next month) starting at £799 ($1,300 USD).

Google Nexus S Prices and Details For Telus and Rogers Leak Early

Price and release details for the Google Nexus S has just leaked from Telus and Rogers. Telus (above) looks like they'll be releasing the smartphone tomorrow for $179.99 on a 3-year contract and $549.99 contract-free. This one should be available tomorrow along with its 4-inch display, NFC, a 1GHz CPU, and Android "Gingerbread".

Surprisingly, it looks like Rogers could have the smartphone at a reasonable price: $99.99 on a 3-year contract and $499.99 contract-free. Of course, the 3-year contract price is a promo price so it'll shoot up in a few days / weeks so you better pick one up as soon as you can. I'm guessing it'll be available on a bunch of carriers tomorrow, April 7th.

As expected, the Nokia C7 is now available on T-Mobile USA as the Astound. Videotron has just released their latest handset and it's, unfortunately, a basic flip phone. Yup, the Samsung C414 is now available through them for $49.95 on a contract and $149.95 contrtact-free if you're interested. HP "Stingray" Leaks, WebOS Smartphone Without a Keyboard; Pre 3 Spotted For Verizon

Coming from PreCentral is two new pieces of information regarding upcoming smartphones from Palm. The first one (here) is regarding what you see above which is reportedly the "Stingray". This one is sporting a display slightly larger than the Pre 3 and has no slide-out QWERTY keyboard so this one's a basic touchscreen device. Specs are unknown right now but they should be fairly good since the launch isn't scheduled for another couple of months.

The other piece of news is here and it's about another leaked photo below. From right to left you have the HP Veer, the Pre 2, and the Pre 3. What's that red circle for? Well, if you squint, you'll notice that the Pre 3 is running on Verizon's network in the US so there'll definitely be a CDMA model (as well as a GSM model). Great news from Palm today!

HTC Pyramid To Get Official Next Week as the Sensation?

The latest rumour going around, coming from Pocket-Lint is that the HTC Pyramid will really be announced at the company's event next week, on April 12th. Apparently, the smartphone will be getting official as the HTC Sensation which the company filed a patent for a while back. This is expected to be a high-end smartphone with a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display, a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, an 8MP camera, a front-facing cameras, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, 768MB of RAM, and Android with the Sense UI. I'm excited for it!
