Archos To Introduce High-End Tablets At IFA This Summer

IFA this year should be a pretty big event because it always is. This year Archos plans to make a big splash at the event. The rumour mill is spinning and says that the company could be planning to unveil 7 and 10-inch high-end tablets at the event. Hardware and even software is still unknown but I'm assuming a dual-core CPU, dual cameras, a high-res display, and the Android "Honeycomb" OS.

Dell Venue Pro To Hit Canada's Rogers As Early As March 17th?

At this point, a bunch of Canadians are waiting for the Windows Phone 7 powered Dell Venue Pro to hit Rogers. We already know that it should be hitting the carrier for $149.99 on a 3-year contract and $599.99 contract-free but that might've changed. Apparently, the phone could actually hit the carrier for $99.99 and $449.99 contract-free which would be much better. Launch date is now rumoured to be March 17th according to Mobile Syrup's tipsters.

T-Mobile USA To Launch the C7 As the Nokia Tiger This Month?

T-Mobile USA may actually be gearing up to launch a new handset in the near future. Said handset could be the Nokia Tiger, which is actually the C7. This news is coming from TMoNews and it could launch later this month for $99.99 on a 2-year contract if what they're hearing is correct. This handset, in case you forgot, packs a 3.5-inch AMOLED display with a 360 x 640 resolution, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, HSDPA connectivity, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a 680MHz CPU, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a front-facing camera, and Symbian^3.

Update: Unwired View has just pointed out that this handset has just hit the FCC if you want to take a look at it. Of course, it has AWS (1700MHz) connectivity which is perfect for T-Mobile USA (and WIND Mobile in Canada).

Sony VAIO S Pre-Orders Kick Off in the US Today

Sony has just put up the pre-orders for the Vaio S notebook in the US. It starts at $979 and the base model features an Intel Core i5-2410 CPU, AMD Radeon HD 6630 graphics, and a 320GB HDD. Of course, you have Intel "Sandy Bridge" Core i5 / i7 CPU options, Blu-ray drive options, a few SSD options, and an extended battery option that can give you notebook 15 hours of up-time. This notebook packs quite the punch in its inch-thick body so it might be worth it for you.

Next-Gen iPhone To Have An Aluminum Back, Logo Will Double As the Antenna

There's a new rumour going around regarding the next Apple iPhone, coming from GadgetsDNA. Apparently, the next iPhone that ships in the Summer will sport an aluminum back and the Apple logo might actually contain the antenna. Apple did catch some early heat regarding the "death grip" with the iPhone 4, so they're obviously going to change the location of the antenna this time around. We'll see what happens. Maybe this time Apple will be able to deliver a white next-gen iPhone on time.

T-Mobile and HTC To Unveil the "Doubleshot" Android Smartphone At CTIA

TMoNews has just pointed out that T-Mobile and HTC could be unveiling a new device at CTIA which kicks off next month. Said smartphone is codenamed the Doubleshot (not related to the Starbucks doubleshot) and it's supposed to be running Android Gingerbread with the Sense UI. Specs are unknown for this one right now so we'll have to wait for new information to trickle out before the official announcement.

Dell To Unveil Super Slim Notebook With "Sandy Bridge" In April, Updating Their Whole Line-Up Soon

Dell is looking like they're going to be teasing their upcoming ultraportable notebook over the next six weeks. The notebook (not pictured above) will be sporting an ultra-thin body and will be packing Intel's Core 2011 CPU (Cougar Point and Sandy Bridge) line-up. It looks like they're just about ready to revamp their whole line-up with new CPUs soon because you can expect updates to their Inspiron line-up next week. Furthermore, Latitude laptops should be Sandy Bridge'd up soon, Optiplex desktops will be updated, and so will the Precision Series. The ultra-slim notebook will be officially unveiled in mid-April.

12.5-Inch Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Notebooks Gets Completely Spec'd Out

Lenovo has just posted something good in PDF format. The upcoming ThinkPad X220 notebook looks like it'll be sporting a 12.5-inch display (IPS display optional) with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, up to a speedy Intel Core i7-2620M CPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to a 320GB HDD / 160GB SSD, and a 9-cell battery that'll last up to 15 hours. Hardkernel ODROID-A Packs Dual-Core Exynos CPU and High-Res Display, All For $750

Hardkernel has just unveiled quite a powerful and great-looking tablet - at least, on paper. If they can deliver, it would be some pretty good news for them. Dubbed the ODROID-A, it looks like it's just a Reference Platform tablet which means it's just a dev kit for now. Specs are confirmed to be a 10-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, a dual-core Samsung Exynos CPU, two microSD card slots, an HDMI output, HSPA+ connectivity, a USB 2.0 port, dual cameras, a 9,000mAh battery, the Android OS, and a transparent back. Yeah, that sounds pretty darn amazing and it's apparently going to launch later this month for $750.

Samsung Announces the Galaxy Pro, Candybar QWERTY Handset; Hitting 3 UK

Samsung has just unveiled a new handset today in Singapore. What you see above is a candybar QWERTY handset which is going to be launching as the Samsung Galaxy Pro. It's going to be running Android 2.2 with, of course, the Touchwiz UI which looks like it'll work. Specs for this one include a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, WiFi support, an 800MHz CPU, and Social Hub Premium. The first carrier to announce that they're launching this handset is 3 UK. Launch and price details are still unknown.
