HTC Desire HD Dummy Unit Spotted In Telus Store

It looks like the HTC Desire HD is going to be released soon. The dummy model has just been spotted in one Telus store in Canada. This will be one of the best Android phones to hit the Canadian market with a 4.3-inch WVGA LCD display, a microSD card slot, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, WiFi / Bluetooth support, an 8MP camera, a 1,230mAh battery, and Android 2.2 with the Sense UI. This should be hitting the carrier for $499.99 contract-free.

Dual 3.5-Inch Android Handset, the Kyocera Echo, Hitting Sprint This Spring For $199

Yes, Sprint leaked it early and now it's official. At the carrier's event this evening they officially unveiled the Kyocera Echo which will be available this Spring for $199 on a 2-year contract. Of course, this is the first dual-screen Android phone to hit the market and this handset sports two 3.5-inch WVGA displays; when you expose both screens you get a combines 4.7-inch display which is more than enough room to do whatever you want. Will you be picking it up?

Apple's MacBook Pro Refresh May Hit Shelves By March 11th, Says Best Buy Leak

Thanks to a Best Buy inventory screenshot, we could be seeing the new Apple MacBook Pro's starting on March 11th, which is a Friday. Obviously, this can't be confirmed right now but hopefully Apple will unveil these "Sandy Bridge" notebooks soon. These should also be sporting touchscreen displays because the next version of their OS supports some iOS features. If you take a look at the screenshot below you'll see that there'll be a model for $1,199 and you can expect that to be the cheapest model which signals that there might not be any price changes.

FCC Checks out the Tegra 2 Powered Motorola DROID Bionic

A new Motorola smartphone has just hit the FCC and Engadget has reason to believe that it's the DROID Bionic. Said smartphone sports the Tegra 2 chipset, WiFi 802.11n support, and all of the other goodies that you should be familiar with by now. Unfortunately, a leak from last week says that we might not get our hands on this handset until Q2 of this year which is still a few months away. Anyways, check it out at the FCC.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play Hitting Canada Too, Could Be Rogers Exclusive

It looks like Canada will be getting their shot at the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play as well. The gaming Android smartphone has just been spotted on the company's Canadian website. Furthermore, one of Mobile Syrup's tipsters have mentioned that this handset will actually be hitting Rogers exclusively. Check it out on Sony Ericsson Canada.

O2, Vodafone, Orange, and T-Mobile All Ready To Launch the XPERIA Play -- This April!

O2 UK has just tweeted something great and you'd know about it if you followed them. They have just announced that they'll be launching the XPERIA Play in the near future - and they love their ad too. The price and release date are still unknown right now but maybe Sony Ericsson will be announcing all of those goodies on February 13th. Check out the tweet here.

Engadget also mentions that Pocket-Lint has said that Vodafone will also be getting the XPERIA Play. The more carriers, the merrier!

Update: Another Pocket-Lint post has just mentioned that both Orange and T-Mobile have mentioned that this will be available starting in April! Looks like they're on board as well! The only carrier left overseas is 3 UK.

White Nexus S To Exclusively Hit Vodafone Worldwide

It leaked recently and now it's official. The white Nexus S will exclusively be hitting Vodafone and it'll actually be the only place in the world to get it. Of course, these model isn't really outstanding since it's only the back cover that's white but, hey, someone will want that. The exact release date for this (half) white model is still unknown, but it should be available soon.

Sprint To Announce the Kyocera Echo and the HTC Arrive Later Today; Echo To Sport Dual 3.5-Inch Displays

Coming from Businessweek is word that Sprint will be unveiling the Kyocera Echo and the HTC Arrive at their event later today. The former is an Android phone, while the latter is said to be running the Windows Phone 7 OS. Specs are unknown for either handset right now but the HTC Arrive will likely be the first CDMA WP7 handset to the US - maybe it's the HTC 7 Pro?

Update: Coming from Phandroid via the WSJ is word that the Kyocera Echo will be their industry first smartphone. It's going to be similar to the handset you see below; it's said to be sporting dual 3.5-inch touchscreen displays to make it more tablet-like. Well, now we wait.

Nokia has just announced something great for those of you who pre-ordered their Symbian^3 based E7 smartphone. The good news is that it's shipping right now, but only to "select markets" which include the UK. This handset is the best thing that the company has ever crafter with a 4-inch display, an 8MP rear-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard; the only thing bringing this smartphone down is the OS so hopefully you'll be able to put up with it.
