Verizon's Smartphone Lineup For H1 2011 Leak; Involves HTC, Samsung, LG and Even RIM

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

One of Phone Arena's tipsters have just told them some beefy information regarding Verizon's upcoming smartphone line-up. Later in Q1, they're expected to launch the HTC Thunderbolt, the DROID Incredible HD 2, and the Samsung (i520) 4G LTE smartphone. The Samsung smartphone is rumoured to feature a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED+ display, a 1GHz CPU, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and the Android OS.

In Q2 we can reportedly expect the Motorola DROID Bionic and the LG Revolution which we got a glimpse of at CES about a month ago. Apparently, RIM will have some devices ready for that quarter as well. We could be getting their BlackBerry "Monaco", which could be the Storm 3, and the "Monaco", which will be the company's Bold with a touchscreen display. Interesting stuff, we'll see if it pans out to be true.

Samsung Makes the I9003 Galaxy SL Official With Super Clear LCD Display and 1GHz TI OMAP CPU

Labels: , , , ,

Samsung has just made yet another Galaxy S official and it's the I9003 which is the Galaxy SL. The main difference between this one and the I9000 Galaxy S Series is that the I9003 swaps out the Super AMOLED for a 4-inch Super Clear LCD display. The I9003 also packs a TI OMAP 3630 1GHz CPU instead of the 1GHz Hummingbird CPU that's in the I9000.

Other specs include 16GB of internal storage, a bit more RAM, a sligthly thicker 10.59mm body, a slightly heavier 131 grams, a larger 1,650mAh battery, Android 2.2, and everything else that you'd find in the old I9000. It's unclear if this will be hitting the whole world but this smartphone is up on a few of their international websites.

AT&T's Motorola Atrix 4G Will Be Available On March 6th For $199, Pre-Sales Start On Feb. 13

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Coming from the WSJ is good word that the Motorola Atrix 4G will be available starting on March 6th on AT&T's "4G" network. The pre-sales for this smartphone will reportedly start on February 13th and the phone itself will cost $199.99 on a 2-year contract - yes, we've seen it cheaper at some online e-tailers. This smartphone will be one of the best on the market with its Tegra 2 chipset along with HSPA+ connectivity and the Android OS along with Motoblur, but will it save the carrier? It is the carrier's first great Android handset so we'll have to see how the public responds.

If you want the laptop dock with the handset then bundled together it'll come out to $499.99 after rebates. Separately, it'll cost $499.99.

Update: AT&T has announced it as well!
